Amped Fitness Expands to Indiana in First Franchise Deal
The Florida brand that boasts an “anti-toxic gym” culture, aesthetic lighting and amenities is bringing its ethos to the Indianapolis area in 2024
Amped Fitness has welcomed its first franchise partners after opening its high-value, low-cost fitness concept to franchise opportunities in May.
The Florida-based fitness franchise offers luxury-level amenities with a fun, community-focused environment and has named Matt and Kyana Carrico from Indiana as its first partners.
The Carrico team, born and raised in Indiana, will bring Amped locations to the Indianapolis area next year, according to the gym chain’s CEO Travis LaBazzo. The married couple have twin girls and will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary next month.
“We’re excited to continue to grow and add more franchise partners to the Amped Fitness team,” LaBazzo said. “We’ve never played small – we’ve seen what Amped can do on a corporate scale, but now that we get to take our EDLP model and marketing machine nationwide, we couldn’t be more thrilled to experience the Amped takeover first-hand.”
Amped Fitness facilities offer 24/7 access and boutique-style amenities to its VIP members for $22.99 per month. Basic memberships start at $9.99 a month and provide access to top-of-the-line equipment and saunas, but VIP members benefit from vast offerings, including child care, a women-only curated workout space known as the Babe Cave, PT Bootcamp, AX3 group training, yoga classes, massage guns, CryoBeds, Normatec Boots, saunas and tanning beds.
As part of its growth plan, Amped Fitness recently acquired three former YouFit gyms in Florida. Amped currently has 19 locations opened, including 17 in Florida and two in Alabama, according to its website.
